HRP’s Clifton Park, NY office has an immediate full-time opportunity for an individual looking for a career in Environmental Field Technical services. Primary job functions will include a variety of interesting and diverse environmental investigation and construction support such as soil, groundwater and air sampling, storm water compliance inspections, and construction management and oversight. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Groundwater, surface water, and other environmental media sampling
  • Construction oversight and preparation of daily field reports
  • Soil stockpile sampling and tracking
  • Assistance and performance of building hazardous material surveys (i.e. asbestos, lead paint)
  • Site Inspections of active construction sites and/or active client facilities
  • Ability to read Erosion and Sediment Control and Site Grading plans
  • Maintenance and monitoring of various environmental remediation systems
  • Problem solving for a wide variety of clients and situations
  • Ability to learn and apply standard operating procedures with an attention to detail
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time
  • Have a 2 or 4 year degree
  • Proof of organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write in English
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Possess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material and variation in elevation (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.)
  • Be able to wear standard PPE, (i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles)
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • As this is primarily a field-based position, the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions is required

For the Environmental Field Technician position, we anticipate an hourly base pay of $20.00 to $25.00 USD.  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
