HRP has an immediate full-time opportunity for an individual in the Stormwater Compliance Industry. Storm Water Compliance Inspections, Construction Management, or Environmental Field Technical services experience is a plus. HRP will train the right candidate who is eager to learn for the position. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated success completing stormwater compliance inspections, proposed site corrective actions, and conducted findings and briefing reports at construction projects and possess curiosity, drive, and ambition. For the Stormwater Inspector position, we anticipate a base salary of $42,000.00 to $65,000.00 USD. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.

- Stormwater Compliance Inspections
- Rain Event Inspections
- Familiarity with the Stormwater Construction General Permit in CT, NJ, NY, and MA
- Field Experience in construction or environmental sampling setting
- A general knowledge of the construction industry
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan preparation
- Emergency Action and Spill Control Plans
- Development of Corrective Actions and Findings
- Ability to read Erosion and Sediment Control and Site Grading plans
- Problem solving for a wide variety of clients and situations
- Ability to learn and apply new regulatory requirements
- NYSDEC 4-Hour Erosion & Sediment Control Training Certification
- AS/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Construction Management
Requirements:
- Proof of organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office
- Proficient with Adobe PDF
- Ability to write in English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents
- Possess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material and variation in elevation (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.)
- Be able to wear standard PPE, (i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles)
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Specific qualifications for the role include:
- 1 or more years of experience in construction, environmental or technical science field services, environmental science, or compliance, preferably in a construction or consulting environment is a plus
- Field based position in all weather and all seasons
- Live within 50-100 miles of Westchester, NY
