HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Civil and/or Environmental Engineering experience to add to our growing team. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team of support engineers in completing assigned projects within the environmental, remediation and civil engineering field, collaborating with the Regional Manager on office growth and working with the Engineering Practice Leader and Contract Managers on multi-faceted projects and working on core competencies of support staff for further development.

Responsibilities will include:
  • On time and on budget deliverables for the engineering project team(s).
  • Coordination and conducting weekly operational work-in-progress meetings with staff.
  • Preparation and review of technical reports and engineering designs within the environmental and civil engineering arenas.
  • Preparation and review of contract plans, technical specifications, permitting and cost estimates.
  • Interact, schedule, and supervise subcontractors at project and construction sites.
  • Communicate professionally with private clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Having a working knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations, as well as design and industry standard level guidelines governing assigned work responsibilities.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and peers in collaborative work environment, including but not limited to internal HRP regional offices, technical disciplines such as Environmental Health & Safety, hazardous building materials and Environmental Investigation and Remediation practices, as well as external vendors, sub-consultants, or joint ventures.
  • Large scale bid preparation, and the ability to perform effective and efficient site bid walks as an agent for clients, or as part of HRP pursuit team for acquisition of work.
  • Responsibility as a manager for team financial metrics including, Project Invoicing and Accounts Receivable in collaboration with the Accounting Department.
  • Continuously improve to maximize efficiency and provide growth to HRP civil engineering service offerings and bring value to our clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • BS/MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Must have at least 2+ years of project management and/or construction management experience in engineering practice.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) required, or demonstration of path to obtain.

SEEKING EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS (ALL ARE NOT REQUIRED):
 
  • Environmental engineering construction, demolition, and remediation support engineering including contaminated soils and sediment.
  • Civil engineering construction related projects, including but not limited to site development, storm water controls and inspection, construction inspections, and dams.
  • Sustainable and renewable energy design field related experience including but not limited to solar power and windfarms.
  • Planning, design, permitting and construction phase services for site development and environmental remediation projects.
  • Experience in linear utility project permitting in the northeast particularly in environmental permitting and coordination/oversight of surveys related to ecological and archeological resources, wetlands surveys, NDDB, etc.
  • Detailed design and preparation of civil/site construction plans, specifications, and cost opinions including site layout and grading, horizontal and vertical geometry, roadway cross sections, drainage plans and stormwater calculations, and utility design.
  • Design of environmental controls and site remediation for contaminated sites.
  • Preparation of technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Interactive and project meeting related experience with Federal, State, and local regulators on various civil and design engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Hydro CAD, Hydraflow, and/or HEC-RAS is desirable.
